Registered Dental Assistant
I love chatting with our patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Everyone has stories and experiences to share, and I enjoy learning new things through our conversations. I make sure our patients are comfortable and relaxed during their visits. I explain what Dr. Chan will be doing, and then sit chairside to assist him. My focus, though, is on our patient. I update people on how well things are going and at the end of a visit I answer their questions.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy going to Mass on Sundays, as well as attending the many Vietnamese community activities at St. Raphael Church.
Front Desk and Office Manager
I enjoy forming relationships with patients and their families. Seeing multiple generations of the same family at their visits, and being included in their conversations, is wonderful. I enjoy hearing about their lives and interests. I greet every patient as they arrive and check them in. At the end of a visit, I ask how things went and make sure they’re smiling as they leave. I’m always happy when they say they’re looking forward to coming back to see us.
During my time off, I enjoy teaching water aerobics. I also like gardening projects, cooking, and playing guitar.
Getting to know people of all ages and from all walks of life makes my work fun and exciting. I love how families are a large part of our practice. I thoroughly enjoy educating patients about their periodontal health and overall well-being. I take pride in my patients when they motivate themselves to take care of their own health. I perform periodontal treatments and maintenance, deliver oral hygiene instructions, and make sure each patient is smiling at the end of their visit.
I’ve lived and worked in the Bay Area since 1986, while raising two sons. I’m an avid reader who enjoys inspiring biographies and the comic strips. I also enjoy gardening, hiking, and yoga.
I have been a member of this practice for over 20 years and enjoy the personal connections that I have developed with my patients. As a hygienist, I specialize in the early detection and prevention of oral disease. While performing a thorough but gentle dental prophylaxis, I provide my patients with the tools and information necessary to maintain a healthy mouth and smile.I frequently attend dental classes and lectures and look forward to sharing current dental and health information with my patients.

Dental Assistant, Back Office
I love being part of such a positive team; all of us work together to help our patients. It’s important we stay positive, because that helps patients relax and feel secure during their visits. I help to set up rooms for patients, organize the office in the morning, and wrap everything up at the end of the day. I also assist our hygienists with charting and sterilize instruments. Other duties include making and filing charts, checking insurance, and helping at the front desk.
I’m originally from Peru. Right now I’m taking classes at the College of Marin, toward a business major and a minor in languages. I enjoy walking at night and doing yoga.
Registered Dental Assistant
I enjoy learning about a patient’s life and passions. With our diverse clientele, and because we care for all ages, I hear wonderful stories throughout the day. I’m always happy when a patient confides in me and shares something special about their world. I assist patients during their visits, and prepare them to see Dr. Chan. I make sure they’re comfortable in the dental chair and explain what the doctor will be doing. Then I work chairside, to support them and the doctor.
I’ve been married for more than 25 years and have an adult daughter. When I’m not working, I’m usually enjoying time with and caring for my eight wonderful pets.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I love motivating people to take charge of their dental and overall health. There’s a strong connection between a healthy mouth and body. When I can help a patient understand the connection, they start making positive changes and become healthier and happier. I’m a dental hygiene coach. During a patient’s visit, I educate them about their specific oral health concerns. Then I give them the tools and knowledge to change their habits and home hygiene practices.
I’m a gardener and actually enjoy pulling weeds, along with growing flowers and food for myself and wild garden visitors. I volunteer as a docent at the Tilden Park Botanic Garden and am learning more about California native plants.
